Boating West Palm, Peanut Island, and Delray Beach Offer Florida Boat Fun

Boat West Palm, Delray Beach, and Peanut Island Boating

Palm Beach County is known to be the location for some of the best fishing in the world. The warm Gulfstream waters are only about a ten-minute ride by boat. When you boat West Palm and the surrounding areas, be sure to take in the sights and sounds of the Atlantic Ocean. Be sure to keep your eyes on the water – chance are good that you will see lots of marine life, like dolphins, turtles or flying fish.

While in Palm Beach, be sure to visit Peanut Island, one of the area’s top boating destinations, is a manmade island located south of the Blue Heron Bridge. Originally intended to be used as a peanut oil shipping terminal, the island has dock and anchorage areas, a designated swimming area, sandy beaches, picnic areas as well as hiking trails. If you boat West Palm, be sure not to miss Peanut Island.

Delray Beach can be found directly north of Boca Raton and directly south of Boynton Beach. It’s another locale not-to-be-missed if you’re in the Palm Beach area and it has been said that the best way to explore this destination is by boat. Visitors who boat Delray Beach, can experience a variety of cruises, such as the Jimmy Buffet-style Margaritaville cruise, a golf-themed cruise and a sunset cruise, among others.

For the true nature lover, the Palm Beach area has a variety of wetlands, refuges and national parks. These include:

  1. Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, Boynton Beach
  2. Wakodahatchee Wetlands, Delray Beach
  3. Grassy Waters Preserve, West Palm Beach
  4. Belle Glade, Western Palm Beach County
  5. John D. MacArthur Beach State Park, Singer Island
  6. Jonathan Dickinson State Park
  7. Spanish River Park, Boca Raton
  8. J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area
  9. Green Cay Wetlands, Boynton Beach

Whether you choose to boat Delray Beach, venture over to Peanut Island or boat West Palm, the beauty of the area is sure to last you a lifetime.

Peanut Island is Awesome.I love this islandand there are lot to do on the island ...Long walk around the whole island is the best thing or if you have boat you can it and anchor out there or just beach it on the island for free...For those who like sun, water and good time to relax Peanut Island is the best..
